This page is devoted to the present of Mr Tom Poyntz-Wright in Popular Music
Tom Poyntz-Wright's music career has promised much but until recently delivered very little as he struggled to find time to both write and record material. However, despite the disappointment of the Poyntz-Wright Four split things do like very good for the future. He has already completed one album that will be released later this year, and a string of singles will preceed it. The first of which will be about the threat of Nuclear war, from which all royalties will go towards helping the casaulties of war.
'I worry daily about the threat of war and I want more than anything to be able to use my fame and good looks to help wipe out this threat of war that seems to hang over our heads at the end of the 20th century. It seems mad to me that we are all looking forward to this brilliant new millenium when there are so many problems that need to be solved now. People are all excited and forgetting that problems such as poverty, war, famine etc are not going to magically disappear when the clock strikes twelve on the 31st December.'

Tom is very keen to 'break' into America and he will be touring the USA extensively in a few months time. The Americans will not be getting Nuclear though, as Tom feels that his song "I let myself go" will do better in America as a debut single. Tom told us 'This song is all about the way in which it can be hard sometimes be hard to keep going, you know keep shaving, eating etc, as sometimes you just wanna do nothing except laze around. I suppose you could say it was the way I was feeling a while back when all my work got on top of me.' The single will be released in America and Australia, however it should be avaliable on import for anyone over here who can't wait for the album.
